Well that's what I would hope Phill. But last time we had a discussion on the shooting of Solomou for trying to lower the Turkish flag, it surmised that a size-able number of TCs would
not condemn the shooting. Now, Expat suggested, that not only would they not condemn this atrocity, but perhaps would do similar (unspecified) should any GCs insult the "trnc" flag. This would then be a TC against GC situation, for the sake of a flag.
Oracle, firstly, I did NOT say they would kill, but what would you do to a person who - right in front of you - tried to desecrate a Greek flag or a RoCy flag? There have been cases here in USA when annoyed citizens attacked people for trying to destroy a USA flag.
You threatened they (TCs specifically!) would carry out actions against GCs for even just making fun of their "trnc" flag. That is a grave and serious view about the TCs, which you hold. And since you are the
spokesperson for your "TC friends" including your pen-pal Denktash then we have to take such threats seriously.
We know Turks would kill for such a thing, but now you suggest TCs would too!
Nothing you have said so far contradicts
your presumption that TCs would (just like Turks have done) kill a GC for removing a "trnc" flag. What is more, you have gone around the houses trying to
justify, not only the Turkish murderer who carried out such a heinous crime, severe retributions against civilians and you are pointedly fully supportive of any TCs who did the same to GCs.
Just making it clear to the (many) right-minded TCs what kind of spokesperson they have in someone like you ... the pen-pal of Denktash ...
And as for:
but what would you do to a person who - right in front of you - tried to desecrate a Greek flag or a RoCy flag?
If I did more than
tell them off for destroying some-one's property, then I would, sadly, say I have been morally corrupted by the Turks' behavior, also.
I cannot stomach the thought of anyone even punishing a person for expressing their views about a flag! This is what living in a free and democratic society allows us to do.
Put things into perspective and show tolerance to those who want to demonstrate freedom of expression.
