I don't know about those specific details, but I do know that the UK will allow opt-outs for anyone in the social services on religious grounds. For a secular state, that is worrying.

For example, police-officers have to wear helmets but Sikh police-officers can wear a turban. I have no problem with Sikhs (adore them really) but don't choose the profession if you can't wear the uniform.

The UK has begun the slow but sure disintegration into a third world country. The politicians are corrupt , the Police will do anything for a quite life until retirement when they can piss off to Spain , Cyprus and of late Montenegro.
The BNP will gain more recognition and more seats both in European Parliament and sooner rather than later in the UK parliament. The English have lost the plot , it appears that the all they want to do is purchase property in the occupied part of Cyprus , watch Eastenders 24 hours a day and Coronation street in between !!
