Did you hear about those peanut-sized jellyfish that can kill adults in minutes?
The Box Jellyfish can't really kill an adult if the wound is treated with vinegar, and they are only found in the tropics.
They're pretty nasty too if you've left your bottle of vinegar back home
But it's a deadlier one, the Irukandji jellyfish, I was referring to:

Not as deadly as you make out.
From 1883 to late 2005, the box jellyfish accounted for at least 70 recorded deaths.
You can read all about it here:

They are related to the Box Jellyfish, which can also be deadly.
Both are only found in the tropics during the wet season.
People don't normally swim in our northern waters during the wet (which lasts for about 6 months), and if they did, you would have some vinegar on standby because chances are you might get stung.
The waters south of Cairns and Broome are much safer. Also note, we have crocodiles in our northern waters, particularly around estuaries.
The waters around Australia are not as dangerous as you portray.
