Well I'm afraid the European courts have already had their say on the matter. In the eyes of the law, "the realities" of the occupation do not over-ride the reality of legal ownership. You see, someone cannot steal your land and property then hope the passing of time makes it okay. Theft is theft. Although not to to a Turk, apparently.
For a Turk it appears that theft along with rape and ethnic cleansing are a way of life that lies outside the law. Fortunately, the majority of mankind has attempted to leave such barbarism behind. Turkey, however, seems incapable of leaving behind its bloody and belligerent past and all attempts by the EU to cajole Turkey into accepting civilized norms are not really succeeding. Once a Turk perhaps always a Turk...
