TRNC PRESIDENT MEHMET ALI TALAT SPEAKS AT LONDON TURKISH RADIO(7/12/2009)
Today, the President will explain the Turkish Side’s views regarding the continuing Cyprus negotiations and voice the Cyprus Turkish People’s expectations from the international community, especially from Britain on London Turkish Radio.

The President will also deliver a speech, titled `Cyprus: Negotiation Process` at the London School of Economics.
Yesterday, Mr Talat held discussions with the leader of the Greek Cypriot DISY party Nikos Anastasiades at breakfast.

Speaking to journalists after their discussions, President Talat and Mr Anastasiadis reiterated their commitment to a federal solution to the Cyprus problem on the basis of political equality and a bi-zonal order.

As part of his contacts in London, the President also visited the Hornsey Ataturk School.

Addressing a public reception given by the Britain-based Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, the President repeated that the Cyprus Turkish People’s expectation was to form a new partnership state on the basis of a bi-zonal bi-communal order and political equality and under Turkey’s active and effective guarantee.

He said arrangements would be made during the negotiation process that would make it possible for the two sides on the island to win from a solution.

`It will not be a zero-sum game” the President added.

Mr Talat stated that the two leaders were now trying to narrow the gap between the positions of the two sides on issues the sides failed to reach agreement in the first round.

On the issue of property, the President said that the Greek Cypriot Side was insisting that the first right of refusal should be given to the pre-1974 holder of the property but pointed out that this proposal was not realistic as it ignored 35 years of development.

Underlining the urgency of a solution for the Cyprus Turkish People, he expressed the hope that further progress would be achieved through “home diplomacy” to be launched in the first month of the New Year.

He noted that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus had a "Plan B" in case peace talks fail.

And you've conveniently ignored 10,000 years of history which has nothing to do with your kind!

All he has to do is stop promoting Turkey with every post. But would he even do that?

Plan B from Outer Space. More isolation, more emigration, more economic failure, more law-suits and fewer Turkish Cypriots. Good plan.

If you're looking at the bigger picture, try the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights", which became reality over 60 years ago.

Article 17 part 2 is one the courts will be looking at more and more now.

So, had the news of "human rights" not reached Cypriot shores that you did what you did in 63 and 74?
