After much ....soul searching , and considering that CA ...go the longest way around as well as fly out off Heathrow , I came to the conclusion that flying with Thomson Air , exactly the dates and morning flights , at £201.00 , representing a saving of £408.00 , makes good sense. 202% MORE THAN THOMSON !!! I know , CA buys fuel at higher prices , just as the operators of the Cypriot airports pay more for their cheap tea bags and espresso coffee !

Since I have saved £408 , I decided that I should donate at least £100 to St Stephanos Home , still better off by £308.00 !!!

Here is the price structure of Cyprus Airways , notice also they have the audacity to add on a ...service fee!!!
There is NO EXCUSE , they are disgustingly expensive and should be told that they are , he same applies to the airport operators .

Now Ive got it of my chest , I'm really looking forward in spending not just a few days but two whole weeks , first time for years !!

It's been well known that CA had been conning the British Cypriots for years.

I rarely fly with CA, the last time I went to Cyprus was with Czech airlines and apart from waiting a five hours at Prague international for the connecting flight on the way there (only one hour on the return leg) it was great value - and the stewardesses were hot!

OK, in the past 30 days i flew to London with BA, Athens with CA and LONDON again with CA

All flights were booked about 1 week prior departure.

BA larnaca - Heathrow T5 - 250Eur (return)
CA Larnaca - Athens - 300Eur (return)
CA Larnaca Heathrow T1 - 280 (return)

CA - A320 are very old and dirty

CA A330 is much better, i actually enjoyed flying in it more than BA767

I gave up CA , also gave up parting with my dosh at either Larnaca airport or Paphos airport Duty Free Con Shops.
The most expensive in Europe , perhaps even in the world !
Someone is making a killing but the rest of the tourist industry will suffer.
I support Cyprus vehemently but not greedy operators that give Cyprus a bad name.

My cost for my next flight on 19th March with EasyJet 137.00 , CA for same departure dates but from most unsuitable Heathrow airport £218.80 60% more than easy jet !!
I have to admit is a small sum in terms of money but Heathrow does not suit me where Gatwick is nearer home , takes me 20 minutes to get to.

Booking a flight to Cyprus for Dec 24th to Jan 7th , a whole two weeks , my longest ever time in Cyprus.
British airways same day an hour later , same return , charges £345.00 , CYA on the other hand , infected no doubt by that Cypriot decease currently rampant at Paphos and Larnaca airport , KOPSEKKELLE , charge £507 plus £10 booking fee ( greedy bastards) making a total of £517 , which is £172 more than BA REPRESSENTING 47% MORE !!!
Who runs Cyprus Airways for crying out loud . It is the nations national airline and it should act responsibly not allowing some tin pot little accountant decide on the price.
Now , I'm not a stingy man but at the same time I hate it when someone stitches me up .
Get your act together Cyprus airways pay attention to the competition .
