Well that's where you are WRONG (amongst many other things). Maybe you want hordes of plebby Brits to fill your tacky rental apartments and heaven knows how many 2-star hotels you own and want to fill up. But Cyprus should be catering for the high-end of the market.

And stop insulting my friends ... she went to buy that £400 Chanel bag for the blind date I was fixing up for the two of you.

Don't like ..old bags !

OMG ... It's worse than I thought! Not only have you no class as far as buying drinks and flights without forever mentioning the cost; you now think you're in the "league of gentlemen" who go out with women young enough to be their daughters. You old scoundrel! I am here to keep you in tow and stop you making a fool of yourself, you old codger!

Who said anything about women !! I was referring to the old chanel bag your friend was coned into buying , that old bag !

Oracle was trying to set you up with one of her friends.

I think Iris would be very happy if you found another companion.

I think she would be rather annoyed if I hooked up with an old Chanel bag !!

Yeh! I know what you mean. The Chanel crowd is pretty pretentious. Not classy at all...

Quite wrong! Prada is for Prats. Chanel is for the Chic 8)

(Actually, I hate them all, but I'm just sticking up for my friend  )

Do you shop together?

You did say you like very expensive stilettos.

Here are the latest prices to Cyprus :
Cyprus Airways 24th Dec - Jan 5th morning flight to Larnaca £659.90 !!!!!
British Airways 24th Dec- Jan 5th morning flight to Paphos £402.30
Difference£257.60 which equals 64% MORE !!!
Now does this hike in prices make any sense , or is it the same pricing structure used by the Ermis Airport Caterers !!!!
Wake up CA , don't take the piss !!

How can CA be mismanaged when BA is losing money hand over fist?

And now you want CA to reduce prices so that they can lose money hand over fist as well.

CA broke even last year.

Apart from this year BA has always showed a healthy profit. Take a look at this.

Have found that CYAir tends to be cheaper than BA. Not always, but my experience is, often less. Question of shopping around.

BA will charge in GB sterling whereas CYAir fares are of course based on Euros with a hidden and unknowable conversion rate to GB£ on their GB version site. May explain some of the less competitive prices.

Trouble is Cyprus is an expensive island to leave and arrive too mainly because of the higher landing fees. Just because its a longer flying time from the UK means little as for instance Tenerife is much cheaper from UK and even the US.

Its not really the fault of the airlines imho its the extortionate landing fees.

I love travelling with CA but no longer will pay their ridiculous prices.

Its a gripe that many airlines flying to Cyprus have.

The cut price airlines now flying to Cyprus i.e EJ are certainly not cutprice!!

Why build a showpiece airport charge the airlines too much to land and take off and charge the passengers €8.50 for a G&T and €16 for two teas and two sandwiches

Bring back the ferries, then we can all leave and arrive from Athens!!!!

Milt,

BA has a shortfall (for a long time now) of 3Bn GBP for their pension. This is why Ryanair Chied Leary calls BA basically a pension fund with wings.

That's what happens when the airports are privatised and when private concerns invest over 600 million Euros to upgrade faclities.

They need to get the money back somehow, and without their capital injection, Cyprus would not have the world class facilities it now enjoys.

Basically, you use the facilities, then you pay for it.

And if people don't like it, then don't come to Cyprus!
