but as apose to the past of cyprus the elder generation that has put us in this mess of the cyprus problem i dont think a little hope is such a bad thing for cyprus after all these decades of continued invasion/occupaion and suffering of the cypriot people where its the only island i know where not everyone agrees what nationality they are,, turk greek cypriot greek/turkish cypriot.

maybe its time for some new blood and new ways of thinking to get us out of this mess.. obviously the way the older generation is thinking is not helping.
