Why don't Cypriot restaurants have legume dishes- Black eye beans + Spinach is the coolest- I love that stuff too!

Chuck .E. Cheese is not that bad for you-compared with a lot of other crap.

Cyprus NEEDS a Chuck.E.Cheese should we start a poll?

Since people are too busy to answer you:

There are no strict rules on the cooking time. Once the ingredients meet in the pot, you need to check and make sure they are 'al dente'. (dont burn your little fingers0. This is because you never know how long the dried beans have been on the shop shelf. The older they get the longer the cooking time. The taste remains the same though.

45mins - 1.5 hrs (time varies)

You can cheat; buy pre-cooked beans in tins and that will only need not more than twenty minutes; just enough time for the beens to absorb all the flavours.

Re Deniz, we are talking about fasolaki (the green ones), you don't get them dried! These were fresh ones, none of your frozen crap.

However I agree they need to be left 'to the tooth' or 'al dente' as the Romans say.

Deniz, usually fasolaki is referred to fresh green beans and fasolia to dried beans. I believe in this case it's green beans.

I gather that now. How remiss of me. I still prefer fasulya to fasolaki. In fact I cannot remember the last time I had any. It must have been in Cyprus two years ago.

Such as

What is an estimate for a months worth of expenses?
( wanting to bring 3 months salary with me and I live quite a simple life)

How difficult will it be to obtain a job?
I do not speak Greek

Thank you for any help you may provide!!

The ony benefit you have is that you do not speak Greek. Whenever i am visting this Isl i am looking for a coffe shop where the servers speak Greek. You must learn Elephants language before you visit this "GREEK" side of the World. -politics my friend i can do nothing about - they are much more clever than me, they are the people , here and in States guiding our lifes-they decided the Greeks of Cyprus to speak Elephants language and this they are doing
