If your serious please e-mail me your CV, and I'll see what I can do.. is there anywhere in particular in Limassol you wish to move to as it is quite a large place? (although I guess it's tiny compared to what you're used to).. Email: [email protected]

Consider opening your own business. You may have something Cyprus just does not have. Try something Genuine from where you come from if its food based. Maybe you can use your contacts in the USA to bring US tourists to Cyprus. Hardly any US tourist go there- The bulk of tourism to Cyprus is from the UK. I think Americans and Maybe Canadians will find Cyprus easier to enjoy than say Greece or allot of other Mediterranean resorts.

Why has nobody mentioned the requirement of a not so easy to get work permit for non-EU citizens?

CBBB .. Thank you for the heads up ...
I looking into this and will be calling the Cyprus Embassy to get definate answers.
It does seem a little tricky, with the Dept. of Labor having to make sure that a Cypriot is not avalible for the certian job... and there has be an acutal job offer .. hmm this does put a kink in my plans
Thank you agian !

Hi Kristyn

I do not know how much time you have spent in Cyprus, but the culture is very different to that of the US. Whereas, in my experience, customer service and care are very imprortant in the States, it is less so here - though it is often made up for by the friendliness of taverna owners, for example.

Be positive but be sure you do not burn all your bridges regarding a return 'home' if things do not work out. Do also bear in mind GR's words regarding attitudes to women, here.

However, if you do settle here, it can be a wonderful life.
