Provocative symbols

When reunification comes in Cyprus which symbols of identity, that might be provocative to the other community, would GCs and TCs demand be removed, or be prepared to give up?

All religious symbols should be banned...

And Cyprus flag is a most peaceful flag on the planet...no blood color, no religious sign... and it was made by a Turkish Cypriot.. so lets stick to that. Of course those 2 huge flags must be removed from the mountain.

Agree on mountainside flags, not on religious symbols.

What about statues of political and military figures from the past, or honouring of some of these individuals in street names?

yes and the turkish cypriot flag should be removed..(not made illigal) just removed espesially from the mountains.. but the north is one huge turkish flag every other building everywhere all they have is turk flags..

a new flag should be made to represent both peoples of the island.

No dodgy flags and Stalin-type statues on public buildings, schools, publically-owned areas. Only the flag of the Republic allowed in these cases.

What individual people and religious bodies do on their own private prop is up to them, within the limits set by such things as planning rules.
