Another flag that reeks of colonialism, oddly enough.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. To me that flag screams out 'Yavruvatan'. What a patronising concept! Moreover, why, if the TRNC is supposedly an independent state, is that flag invariably flown in tandem with that of Turkey?
Isn't the Greek Cypriot flag invariably flown in tandem with the EU flag, then?

The National Flag of Greece (which is another nice-looking flag, I have to admit...)., the UN flag in the buffer zone, the Union Jack in the SBA's, and (finally) the RoCy flag is to be primarilly seen on government buildingsin the south.

Better looking than this?
I'm one of the increasing numbers of Kiwis supporting a change in the New Zealand flag. The current one is a colonial relic.
