Illegal Turkish Cypriot “Universities”

http://www.mfa.gov.cy/mfa/mfa2006.nsf/A ... enDocument

Moreover, these “universities” use as their premises illegally usurped properties belonging to Greek Cypriot forcibly displaced persons, in violation of their rights and without their consent. It should be reminded that the legitimate Greek Cypriot owners of the said properties were forced to flee from their ancestral homes in the wake of the Turkish invasion of 1974 and the military occupation of 36.4 percent of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus and they have been prevented since then to return thereto. The “Eastern Mediterranean University” situated in the occupied city of Ammochostos (Famagusta), the “American University of Cyprus” in Kyrenia, the “European University of Lefke” and the “Cyprus International University” in the occupied part of Nicosia, are such cases of illegal use of Greek Cypriot properties.

That's the one which has opened ....

Maybe someone in authority should be informed about this grave error.

Why are you dragging some poor Australian into this? Research!

Sorry, googled and pasted whilst cooking.

Well, let that be an early warning to the Mayor of Canterbury in Australia, in case he ever thought of doing such a bad thing! :D

We can always send them to Trahona University instead... Graduates from there are real bright sparks!

There is such a thing as maintaining standards (but you wouldn't know about that) ... and illegal racist "Universities" do not belong in the EU!

OK, OK! There's a Canterbury in New Zealand too!

Anyway, let's carry on with the revelations.

Jerry said yesterday that there was no mention in "The Kentish Gazette" of the "dignitaries" who would be attending today. And, there is no mention of this attendance by the Mayor (of Canterbury, Kent  ) in the "Civic Diary"

Civic Diary
Lord Mayor of Canterbury,
Councillor Dr Harry Cragg

5 December 2009 10am Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress to attend Save the Children Christmas Coffee Morning, Highfield House, Harbledown.

1.45pm Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress and Lord Mayor's Chaplain to attend 'Welcome to St Nicholas', Christ Church Gate and service, Cathedral.

5pm Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress to attend Whitstable Christmas lights switch on, Harbour Street.

7.20pm
for 7.30pm Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress to attend Evening of Baroque Music, Swalecliffe Free Church.

So why was the Mayor there?

Some last-minute "donation" by the "trnc", perhaps? :?

You could do a lot worst than attend a few courses there yourself. Try "How to avoid eoka bullets" course, I did. It does wonders for longevity of life and all that.

Good! Can we “proofread” your letter prior to sending it?

I would welcome a letter composed by someone with better literary skills than myself, in fact forumers could make it a joint effort and add their names.

I'll start it:-

The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Canterbury
Tower House
Canterbury
CT1 2DB

Dear Lord Mayor,

Halil, my suggestion was that a person with literary abilities should add to the letter, I'm afraid you score no points. I don't think your writing skills would even merit a "degree" from GAU but there are some very good language schools in Canterbury perhaps you could find a beginners course.
