The isolation of northern Cyprus will stop as soon as Turkey's army withdraws from there. What is this Bag-of-shit's problem?

What will happen when Turkish troops withdraw? GC national guard would arrest all TC national guard?

What a fine way to demonstrate your EU credentials. And then Turkey's chief EU "negotiator" has the gall to quote in Latin.

MP, this is just typical arrogant Turkey talk again, either take me in on my terms, or you are all f*cked.

If you were the EU, would you stand for such bully boy and blackmail tactics???

And they say we are the intransigent ones, Phuccking heck, these people have a nerve.

Well, yes. It's what Greece and South Cyprus did in 2004.

Why was it blackmail? Blackmail would have been to keep Cyprus out... until Turkey's army withdrew.

Blackmail as in if you dont take the divided and problematic Cyprus into the EU will block the other waiting states. The EU deserve what they have which is a hot patatoe they will grow to hate over the many years they will be faced with all the extra problems the Cyprus thorn will cause its only been a few years, in 10 years time and with still no solution the EU will ignore the GCs completely slapping them in place when they complain or start to object.

Yeah, Yeah, in your dreams. You just can't stand the fact that Cyprus made it into the EU and you are out in the cold.

A middle east super power beaten by tiny little Cyprus. Its just F eating you a?

Well, here is the bottom line, Cyprus is in, you are not and have no chance no one wants you.

When we have got what we want then maybe, just maybe we will let you have a sniff of the EU.

Hello B25 areyou aware the whole island is in North and South... know you hate it but there you go as for Turkey in my personal opinion I do not think they should get in they are a long way from being a EU nation and are realizing that they will not get into the EU as a full member anyway. Where will that leave you GCs up the swanny without a paddle me thinks...all the responsiblites of answering to the EU and no leverage..vay vay vay.

How could the RoC blackmail anyone, let alone the EU, when they were only a EU candidate and not a EU member in 2004, therefore, how can the EU punish the RoC for anything now or in the future.??

In 2004 Greece and RoC colluded for RoC entry into EU by threatening to block EU expansion. The deal was - solve the Cyprus problem before you get in. That wasn't done but you blackmailed your way in anyway. You know it, Turkey knows it and the EU knows it. Don't think anyone has forgotten it and that it may not yet bite you on your arse.
