In words, the RoC’s achievements include…

• A fleet of 2,000 odd commercial flag-ships (freight carriers) serving the world.

• An environment/infrastructure that attracts 2.5 million odd tourists p/annum.

• A GDP of $25 billion p/annum, and a GDP p/capita of over $30,000.

• Cyprus is the EU’s East Mediterranean civil aviation hub.

• A National Guard with awesome power on a pound for pound basis.

• A national soccer team that can compete admirably against countries 100x greater in size!

• Full EU membership.

• And last but not least, Cyprus controls the destiny of 70m Turks huffing and puffing at EU’s doorstep!

And she did all that in the space of just three decades after a full blown Turkish military invasion, and occupation of 37% of her territory!

The above is a summary of Turkish Achievements in Cyprus you mean Mongol!

Here are some more truthful achievements:
1) a country divided with 37% of territory under occupation due to our stupidity as much as anything else or any other intervening power,
2) a country that treats its own citizens as second class citizens and then allows illegal settlers the right to vote and determine the island's future,
3) political immaturity on a mind boggling scale, and
4) a racially segregationist constitution giving political rights to 'communities' as opposed to the individual.

I'm trying to think of some positive achievements, but am having difficulty. I guess if I was asked about a year ago, I would have said that the EU was our best achievement, but now realise that the EU is an irrelevant poofy club of no hopers (Greece and Cyprus included) and with no back bone to stand up to Turkey.

Why are these rankings so low?

Maybe EU blue tape is effecting our performance.

Acikgoz thinks that for every Turk-TC crime there is an equivalent GC crime. From the school of stupidity where he graduated :roll:

He reacted to the fact this list of atrocities was compiled by me as a Summary of Turkish achievements.

The fact no one could counter this thread:

And yet there are also some GC politicians that also believe that such a balance exists. Or are these more intended to appease Turkey? :roll:
