TC 'FM': "Turkey may lose right to intervene"

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Numbers, which I doubt you have.

How many marriages did you read of this year 1 2 or was it 3? marriages between GCs and TCs is still a taboo subject both sides of the divide.

You are terribly mistaken old south cypriot.I've got at least 5 TC friends, they are all post-74 born and none of them (yes NONE) trust you guys and they don't think there will ever be unification.

I don't believe an objectionable fellow like you has friends, Cypriots or otherwise. Maybe they're lying to you about their friendship; maybe they're lying to you about who they trust. Or maybe you made the whole (yes WHOLE) thing up, runny-nose.

Hes 100% correct ask any TC you want 80% will say they trust Turks more than GCs. I live in the TRNC and can vouch for this.

runaway's imaginary friends weren't making comparisons.

Sensible people throughout the world trust (or don't trust) individuals, not nationalities. It's no way to conduct business, let alone life. But then, sensible people probably wouldn't live in your part of the world.

I know its ahrd for you to accept but its fact whether its state ot individual TCs trust Turks or Turkey far moe than they do GCs or the "RoC". you can try and avoid addressing this issue but you would do much better to try and understand why and see things for what they really are. Why do you think we want so many safeguards and guarantees?

"Read of" means nothing! If you want to be taken seriously in this (to support your argument) you should conduct some proper research and come back with realistic figures.

This is big news in the North and without any chance of checking marriage registers worldwide we can only go by the marriages here on the island and that no more than 1 or 2 max, prove me wrong if you have evidence. I have been living in the TRNC for many years and I have not met one mixed marriage and in my line of work I meet loads of people. Its still very taboo both sides of the divide how many mixed couples do you know?

That's one opinion... As to whether or not I'd agree with it, well...

I'm really fascinated why a US-based New Zealander should have such warped, counterintuitive views about Cyprus. Would you (or anyone else, as I'm not sure I can trust anything you say) mind telling me what your connection is with the regime in the north? There's definitely more to you than meets the eye.

Well, I have an active pen-pal relationship with Mr. Denktas, I am a close friend of the Los Angles TRNC Representative (M. Mustafagolu) and his family, and I have several other Turkish Cypriot friends.

Your judgement on Cyprus is as suspect as your judgement on picking pals. By the way, your close friend in LA is called Mustafaoglu. But then, you are often sloppy and inaccurate when it comes to Cypriot matters which you claim to know about.

Why cant you GCs believe that TCs trust Turks more that they do GCs, just compare how the lives of TCs were from 1960 to 1974 with GCs and after 1974 to today with the Turks and you will get your answer. TCs distrust GCs just as I am 100% certain that GCs distrsut TCs, why are you GCs so suprised?

They are not surprised at all. They just want you to say you hate Turks. They get mad when you don't.

GCs don't hate anyone. We just take pity on idiotic imbeciles.

One day, you animals will join the 21st century, whether you like it or not.

It is kind of hard to marry anyone from the other community when one was isolated for 30+ years by their own leaders with hate and propaganda infused into them constantly as to how bad the other is, as you do today on the forum.

In any case, marriages between communities, or lack of them is a meaningless way to measure if the communities can live together. In the US, marriages between different ethnic backgrounds, race, religion are also not wide spread, but the country functions quite well, so what's your point.??
