How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Isn't that what you are famous for? Surely it comes natural to you old chap.
Who was it that said they are going to run out of time. Damn, I forgot again. Never mind.

It's so soothing to hear some more voices of reason in this forum. Thank you cymart, thank you mikiko.

By the way, Lilikas was resurrected this morning by bash patriot and former EOKA B supporter Lazaros Mavros who rejoiced when Samaras was elected President of "New Democracy" party in Greece. "One of ours", he told Koulias, the most ridiculous of the bash patriots. Lillikas seems to be heading a group of rejectionists who will use all kinds of machinations to discredit any agreement reached by the two leaders.

Lillikas.......

Postby cymart » Thu Dec 10, 2009 12:31 pm

I met him back in 1988 when he was supporting George Vasilious election campaign and then he was one of the most liberal and pro-solution people you could ever wish to meet, calling for friendship with Turkish Cypriots and blaming Kyprianou for wasting time and living in a dream world etc!
Vasiliou later got fed-up with his pomposity, after creating a very cushy and well-paid job for him, and seeing that his political career was in danger of floundering he became a turncoat, eventually making a 180 degree turn and supporting the hard-line,rejectionist policies of Papad!
Having climbed very high under his rule and also screwing up the Foreign Ministry job,he was desperate for his mentor to be re-elected and devastated when that did not happen,(although his second wifes advertising firm still made a handsome profit from the election campaign!)he offered to help Cassoulides fior the second round, knowing that he was detested by AKEL,with whom he was formerly associated, for not backing Christophias in round one!DISY of course showed him the door as well and since then he has been very low profile, holding private meetings with the son of Papadopulos, another slime bag, but one who at least has the honesty to air his views openly!
Maybe Lillikas thinks he can copy Winston Churchill, also one of the biggest political turncoats in British history who belonged to almost ever political party at some time in his career? But of course Lillikas has neither the brains or the charisma to be anything more than an odious creep who most people despise!I was also told by some people who are related to him that he did not bother to visit his own father when he was in hospital some time ago, alleging that he was 'too busy with important engagements elsewhere' and that he also never paid the owner of the restaurant where he held the reception for his first wedding years ago...
Need I say more?

I'm all ears on who or what gives you the right to call Nicholas Papadopoulos a "slimebag" How well do you know him?

Postby cymart » Thu Dec 10, 2009 3:27 pm

Is just another arrogant, bigoted and nasty piece of work, just like his father who made very questionable money via his law office and acts as if he is somebody, while in reality he is a nobody!Best ignored!

The unanswered questions?

Postby cymart » Thu Dec 10, 2009 10:26 pm

The money stolen from the people of Yugoslavia by Milosevic evil regime and filtered via Cyprus using firms registered by Papad's law office for a start would be interesting to investigate..
