LEADERS AGREE TO INTENSIFY TALKS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

NEVER before has an RoC President degraded himself to this level.. visiting the occupied area of his country as a guest, subjecting himself to the authority of Turkey, allowing the representative of the Turkish occupation to visit the free areas (presumably with the "TRNC" flag and number plates on his car, "police" escort etc.. What is the world coming to?

This sounds more like it.

When we were trying to convince Turkey to allow the passage of our troops through its territory in Northern Iraq, we gave Turkey two motives: several billion dollars in the form of donations and loans and Cyprus in the form of the Annan plan."

B25, we have talked and discussed these things on numerous times, especially before and just after the referendum. However, if you are reallly interested you might like to read what others have to say, without labelling them naive or stupid or traitors (trademarks of a barbarian society). I suggest for starters:

I think Christofias need to ignore the Bash patriots as they had a voice last 5 years without any tangible results.

Its these "tangible"results we are only seeing from the GC side that is worrying the GC's.

Tell us how we are in any way better off today, after 2 years of Christofias's "flexible" policy, than we were before he took over.

Any objective person can see we are now at a substantially worse position.

That we were better off under Papad??All I remember from his time in power was bitterness, recrimination and an atmosphere of the 1960's,plus our isolation by the international community with a clown like Lillikas playing foreign minister and being ridiculed! The other miserable eyars were those under Spyros Kyp. where nothing happened except conspiracy theories and the people in the south who were not refugees got richer and richer and rubbed their hands in glee!
Why not give Christophias and Talat a chance next month instead of trying to find legal technicalities to prevent their efforts? It will also give Turkey the chance to put their money where their mouth is and prove they are prepared to make serious concessions???
