LEADERS AGREE TO INTENSIFY TALKS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Bananiot the words "Cypriot" and "together" were actually discouraged by every line written in the Annan plan. Where was the togetherness in this plan? Was it the 2 separate economies? Was it the 2 different constitutions? Was it the lack of any unifying central executive and its replacement with a lame duck council?

This is a very strange country we are living in. Those who voted against the Annan Plan, exercised vitriolic critisism on the President for his proposition to introduce a weigthted vote system for the Greek Cypriots on the election of the Turkish Cypriot President and in effect supported the Annan Plan proposal for a "lame duck council".

I fail to see how the separate economies of the two states were part of the Annan Plan. However, I explained many times why I voted for the Annan Plan and events have not shown that I (and the tens of thousands of Greek Cypriots that supported the yes vote back in 2004) was wrong. Since our "heroic" stand we have been the black sheep of Europe, not a single Turkish soldier left Cyprus, not a single refugee returned home and tens of thousands of more settlers came to Cyprus. The impasse, has created a huge void that could easily lead to permanent partition which will destroy Cyprus once and for all. Since the departure of Papadopoulos (from the Presidential palace) a breath of fresh air has blown but one can only assume that any compromise reached by the two leaders will not be very different to the Annan Plan. We can achieve certain improvements, I believe, provided we behave rationally and convince our partners in the EU and our fellow Cypriots the Turkish Cypriots with whom we will live together in this island.

Nice work, by the way, B25, how long did it take you to compile the impressive list?

100,000 stupid GCs, ones that thought they were going to win at the expense of the rest of the country, those that couldn't think for themselves and did as they were told by various political parties who thought they would gain from it. But you are just too stupid to see that.

As for the list, credit goes to our Boomers, from an earlier post, and still neither you nor your cronie mates have answered the critical question, which of these do you accept and agree with Bananiot? Answer the question, please, then we can debate each item one by one.

Thanks

Christofias is taking his next step in "Cementing the Annan plan" and selling his "partnership of 2 states" to the GC people..

NEVER before has an RoC President degraded himself to this level.. visiting the occupied area of his country as a guest, subjecting himself to the authority of Turkey, allowing the representative of the Turkish occupation to visit the free areas (presumably with the "TRNC" flag and number plates on his car, "police" escort etc.. What is the world coming to?

In any self-respecting country, the Attorney General should be on standby and arrest Talat & Co upon crossing into the Government controlled areas.. he is bound to be breaking numerous laws by virtue of being the leader of an illegal gang controlling the stolen RoC territory.

Declare war on Turkey, I say! But I forgot, technically we are at a state of war with Turkey, but the most patriotic function of the Cyprus youth is waging another battle right now in London, against Chelsea.

Actually everything was very friendly with the Chelsea bunch. Bananiot seems to forget his son doesn't miss an APOEL game.

Well bananiot, do we have your answer please sir?

Never mind the silly remarks about APOEL, they don't belong in the cyprob pages, I am interested in your reply about the reasons we rejected the Anal Plan

Do you accept that we should have agreed to those terms?

Thanks again.
