Does it automaticly update? What do i mean..

Does it connect itunes runs automaticly then it restores automaticly?

or

Just connects and it asks you to restore?

At which step does the problem start?

probably in recognised countries the iphone has anti jailbreak protection and can tell if you have jailbroken so it asks you to restore to it removes the jailbreak but here in cyprus the iphone is not even official here

lol thats not the reason! He is just not doing it correctly. The most sure case he is jailbreaking it correctly but not installing Cydia cause he doesnt have a wifi connection. He must go through cydia 1st to install the appsync patch for him to be able to use itunes.

Cause its not through his phone that its telling him to restore but from itunes instead. Lets wait further more details from him just to be certain.

Oh no. Yeah i found whats the problem with his. There is no fix i guess. You can jailbreak but you musnt let it reboot. If it reboots your going to have to rejailbreak. theres no fix at the moment for that

When I jail broke the Iphone and it reboots, the iphone maintains a blank screen with a picture of the USB. After a few minutes, you connect it to Itunes. A message then appears that you will not be permitted to use Itunes unless the Iphone is restored to factory settings. The Iphone menu prompt on the left side also disappears. You are then forced to restore, otherwise the phone is unusable. All data and apps are lost. After restoring, a SYNC is then required to restore your music and apps.

I only bought my Iphone 3 weeks ago, so I think the 3GS I have has updated Boot Rom that is mentioned in the link I posted earlier. This is also mentioned on other forums.

So it appears that the newer 3GS Iphones (those manufactured after Oct 09) can't be jail broken.

I did install Appsync 3.0 through Cydia using my own wifi and not network data. But as soon as the phone is rebooted, and connected to Itunes, you are prompted to restore.

I followed your instructions as follows:

Here's a simple instruction how to do it.

1. Before you run blackrain what version is your iphone?

2.Before you run blackrain go in your task manager and end task itunes.

3.Install Cydia now from Cydia

1. Open Cydia.
2. Add this source to Cydia:
Code:
http://cydia.hackulo.us

3. Search for AppSync in Cydia and install.
4. Reboot your iPhone.
5. Connect your iPhone to iTunes.
6. Install one free app from the iTunes Store.

And your done with itunes. Now for cracked applications just go www.appulos.us
