Is the “TRNC” a Turkish Cypriot right of self-determination?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What industries will prosper if tiny Cyprus becomes an ongoing war zone. You can kiss casinos, tourism and selling Greek Cypriot owned property to Foreigners as an industry if Cyprus is engulfed in war. Peace talks are the only thing preventing an underground war right now. In the 1950's a hundred guerillas lit up Cyprus like a Christmas tree for about 5 years. The British Army had similar numbers to the Turkish Army on Cyprus today and they still could not succeed to maintain peace. Is today's Turkish Army made up of 18 year olds better equipped than the 1950's British Army. Back then Britain was an Empire. What is Turkey now? an agricultural bastard case? Do you think British property investors are going to buy holiday homes on Greek Cypriot owned land if Cyprus is a mini war zone?

There will be no war if the TRNC is recognized the EU club you have joined will not allow you to wage anything, plus lets say it happened do you think the million or so tourists you get will come to a war zone..me thinks not as the knife of war always cuts both ways and both sides of the divide would suffer as we would not sit back and wait for Gc attacks we would fight back as we did in 1974, you should have learned from the past obviously you have not. You clearly have not researched Turkeys economy and know nothing about its development over the past 15 years.

Do you think the EU can control lunatic extremists on both sides waging an underground guerilla war ? Partition will result in five to ten years of guerilla war fare by extremist lunatics on both sides. Do you think extremists on both sides care about the Tourist industry or property development? If peace talks are suspended indefinitely extremists from both sides will blow up Cyprus for a few thousand dollars. Racists like you must make way for civilized and peace loving democrats who want to part in a democracy and respect the Rule of law.

There will be no official partition because we will never accept such thing. End of this story.

People like me are the reason for your participation on the forum. You need an outlet for your disdain for the opposite side of the argument, and I fit that criteria. I hope that I can continue to entertain you and give purpose to your existance...
