UEFA Pulls up GC club for Racism

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

UEFA Pulls up GC club for Racism

Postby Acikgoz » Wed Dec 02, 2009 6:36 pm

UEFA Champions League match APOEL FC - Chelsea FC played on
30 September 2009 in Nicosia, APOEL FC were fined by UEFA 40,000 Euros for throwing of missiles, racist behaviour and illicit banner.

Good thing they were finally called on the racism!

I heard from friend that went to the match that there was such a facist, biased and misleading info flyer on the seats that it was disgusting.

I believe the offensive banner was "Cyprus is Greek."

If such flags bear slogans - like what appeared last year at the Australian Tennis Open - then it would be racist. I deplore flags being defaced like that, particularly a flag like Greece's. It's a neat design.

I know, there are Nations flags which are "democratic" lets say Zembabwe, Zair, Niger etc. i mean flags which nobody give a sht..

however if there is a flag representing the "complex" of some nearby nations (with small n) then is representing only the fascists who is holding same and find a meaning in their life-But do not forget that in addition to these fascists we are holding this flag for the simple reason, WE ARE GREEKS.So simple.

They were holding a Greek flag?? Wow, now that's racist friends and neighbors. Oh yes, since race is defined by craniofacial anthropometry and the haplogroups of one's y chromosome that determines if you're Caucasion, subsaharan Negroid or Asian Mongoloid.
Simply by holding a Greek flag or a banner suggesting Cyprus is Greek makes you a racist bigot. Of course, how ELSE can you possibly offend black people and Asians than by this despicable manner.
Hitler himself was rumoured to have paraded buttnaked draped in a Greek flag after Jesse Owens won the the Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics to show his disapproval.

Under the UEFA rules and regulations it is forbidden to enter any countries flag apart from the two teams playing. So in this case, only the Republic of Cyprus and the English flag would be allowed.

From the various Vexillogical journals that I have read, the RoCy flag is not used all that much, compared with the Greek National Flag, so in that context, Greek flags would be the spectators first choice...

The issue principally an illicit banner - not a flag!

You have just be missinfomed- case lost in UEFA- Reason- PER ROC Constitution Greek flag is he official flag of Greeks of Cyprus then UEFA shut up - and therefore you must shut up-if you do not know, do not speak.
