How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As a matter of interest, who would you support if Greece were to play Cyprus in the World Cup Final?

Your paradigm is off the mark !

It's a straight forward question and you've avoided answering it. Is it because you don't want to appear foolish?

I am not a football fan, so there, who is the fool now coglione !

 How convenient for you. So much so that you're unable even to express a preference? Or is it because you don't want to appear foolish?

It has nothing to do with being foolish, I couldn't care less who wins to be honest as it does not interest me in the slightest.

You have such passion for your "ethnos" that you label as foolish those who (in your eyes) denounce it. Yet when it comes to the World Cup, a source of immense passion for the nations participating and pride for the eventual winners - you can't even express solidarity to your "ethnos". You "couldn't care less who wins" in a final where your "ethnos" is playing. Because you're not a football fan. Interesting.

Who would you advise miltiades should support in such a final - so that he remain true to his "ethnos"? So that he doesn't appear foolish?

Those that are not comfortable with their country and nationality (Cyprus & Cypriot) and with their ethnic background (Hellenic or Turkish) usually have a lot more personal ID issues than this.

There is no competition between the 2. Cyprus is your country and nationality and your allegiance must always be to Cyprus and its flag. By the same means ignoring your ethnic Hellenic background or attaching it to a Greek state is ignorant to say the least.

I supported Greece in the European cup a few years back all the way , so did a number of my T/C friends out of respect for me. Naturally and it goes without saying had Cyprus been playing my support would be for my nation , Cyprus.
I can not possibly imagine any G/C or T/C not supporting either Greece or Turkey , in the absence of Cyprus in an international event , its human nature .

Do you know of any other country in the world where a portion of its population raises someone else’ flag and the government has no qualms about it?

And is that Greece's fault? Does the Greek government pay football fans to wave Greek flags? If you don't like what you see, blame your countrymen, not mine. Idiot

If it were not for Greece’s constant manipulations since the early 1800s when they suddenly decided they were hot shit and reinvented the island’s history, and right up to their overthrowing of the legitimate government of Cyprus on the 15th of July 1974 that resulted in the catastrophic consequences that we know of today… none of this shit would be happening today so don’t you wash your hands clean with me you little Greek punk!

You idiot! Even when there was no Greece at all, Cypriots were joining the Greeks in their revolt against the Ottomans, who had they been brainwashed by?

Should Greece blame Cyprus for the deportation of 200,000 Greeks from Istanbul as a reprisal for the inter communal fights in 1955, well before the 1974 coup?

Do you think Turkey wouldn't have invaded Cyprus if there was no coup?

Do you think Turkey wouldn't have occupied the WHOLE of Cyprus if there was no Greece?

Are you THAT stupid?

The question was: How does Greece manipulate Cypriots TODAY, forcing them to wave Greek flags?

Well said. I have always maintained that it was the Greeks and misguided Greek Cypriots in 1974 that are to be blamed for the mess Cyprus is in. Turkey may have invaded/intervened but who gave them the justification they needed? It is all very well dragging Turkey through the courts for what they did, but you would do better looking for reparations from those that invited them in.
