Two things matter for Turkey's future ...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Two things matter for Turkey's future ...

Postby Oracle » Tue Dec 01, 2009 7:02 pm

Co-ordinator on the Cyprus problem of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Mrs. Mechtild Rothe comments on Turkey's wish to join the EU:

~

Mrs Rothe said “it is important that there is a change in Turkey concerning the unity of Cyprus. There is another point: Turkey´s wish to join the EU. Turkey has to fulfill its obligations and therefore Turkey has to open its ports, for example, as stated in the Ankara Protocol. This is clear. The European Union must make it clear to Turkey to do that”.

Concluding she said that for her two things matter, explaining that “at the top of the agenda is the solution of the Cyprus problem and the second is what is Turkey doing to find its way into the European Union”.

I would love nothing more at Christmas than a gallinaceous bird!!!

As for traipsing.... I thought you were just referring to food... I was just imagining it slowly cooking away in a nice Moroccan pot!!!!
(I do actually troll the CyProb section on a regular basis, but some of the comments do wind me up and I refrain from commenting whilst feeling emotional)...
