Influence of the Greek Orthrodox Church

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Army in Turkey = Church in South Cyprus.

Theocracy is when they are close to god surely. GOC is as far from god as you can get, infact very close to satan. 666

I know that complaints about Church discrimination in Greece reached the EU, and I know that a lot of former Cypriot land in the TRNC was church-owned, so the GOC does have a vested interest. Is it not unreasonable to assume that their views on the issue are not going to be ignored by the government?

Expat, I am beginning to believe you are (seriously) mentally retarded....

One last time:

They went to the COURTS! They sued Turkey! They didn't go via any government, so find another topic ...

They behaved like any landlord/property owner who has bee racially discriminated by Turkey and who suffered Human Rights abuses from Turkey.

They are no different to any other organisation other than they were custodians of our and the Christian World's heritage.

I hope the rest of the Christian Churches back them up for the losses they have suffered.

What do you mean? When did land in the north of Cyprus stop being Cypriot? How did that happen? And did the owners give their permission?

If your army stayed in Turkey, that would be a miracle.

(But of course you meant the occupied north, but to you it's now "Turkey"!)
