Large numbers of TCs visit the south during the Bayram

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Yeni Düzen estimates that 10,000 Turkish Cypriots crossed over to the south on Saturday (28 November), the second day of the Bayram [religious festival].

That's always the case after the first day. What can I say, I worked all four days of Bayram. I should get double pay for it.

It shows that with the crossings open Turkish Cypriots are increasingly becoming re-integrated into the rest of the island. It is not a huge deal, but nevertheless provides a small ray of hope for those who wish for reunification.

It only shows that TC's and EU citizens in the North like to go shopping in the South.
If you want to talk about re-integration, it's a shame when I read about GCs who boast they refuse to visit the North or do visit but take their own food and water to deprive the TCs of a couple of lousy Euros of trade.

exactly its a few euros thats nothing.. the amount of cypriots who goes to gamble and throw their life savings and some people i know who go to the north for every little thing to save a few cents make up for it :)

im sure there is tcs in the north who feel the same about either not wanting to spend money or come.. i have friends who wont go to north until turkey goes home.. others who spend every cent in the north and others who willg o but take their own food..

plus the turks limit the tcs on how much they can bring to allow gamblig in the north even though its illigal apart from tcs.

and you who took the house/apartment int he north to save a few buying in occupied land. to support an invasion..

for a cheaper place in the sun.

ur so pro turkish i bet ur a turk or a tc or have a tc wife

Only solution - declare North Cyprus as a GREEK occupied land (nothing to do with Athens state) and ask a democratic solution . Do not accept the propaganta for a surrounding agreement!
