Oh dear!! What did you say to her. Sophie1 is a nice lass - except forwhen she is bad.

Anyway, below is a photo of the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque) with its six Minaret's(ICBM).

The towers were used for the call to prayer. Like your churchbells, but the voice of man was deemed more sonorious than church bells.

I don’t agree with the persecution of Islam…(any religion for that matter) if fact at times I feel I’m the only one on the forum who defends them from the west’s maniacal persecution! Where the hell are the TCs to defend them?

Im here and fighting my corner but you seem conveniently to divert from the issue that the majority can use their advantage to the detrement of a specific portion of the population, this is a prime example of what we were discussing yesterday. Now do you understand what I am trying to point out as a danger for TCs?

I don’t know enough about Switzerland’s political structure to debate whether or not they CAN do that, but I do know that it’s a slap in the face of Human Rights’ freedom of religion. If it were to be proposed in a future Cyprus I’d vote against it.

There are many mosques in the UK with no minaret. You should see them on Fridays...and the traffic jams caused by the mosque goers. No one is stopping them practicing their religion.
