What do 're-unification, suppoerting GC's think......

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Expatkiwi » Mon Nov 30, 2009 12:40 am

You know, if this article contains a lot of truth, then perhaps Archbishop Chrysostomos is thinking of eventually being in a position like Iran's Ayatolah Ali Khameni, in which he would be the real power... Looks like the Greek Orthrodox Church is going to be flexing its muscle... if it hasn't already started to do so...

That dispute should kill at least 2-3,000!

All of a sudden VP has gotten religious!

That can only come from the EU high command which would represent YOU... hardly a reason for you to spit the dummy again!

Turkish Cypriot Turkish would be officially registered with the EU anyway.

I can't see that ever happening again... that's called REGRESSION! We even beat them in football these days!

You've come up with bullshit!

You have no real answers 80% democracy is enough to make these and many other negatives happen, there has to be a mechansim where we can say no.

You forgot an emotikon GR. I did not expect you to answer differently. Anyway, a BBF is 'partition' in disguise, so I would not support it either. :?

What do you support Deniz? TC to be a minority in a GC state?

A Cypriot in Cyprus is NOT a minority. Whenever there is a will, there is a way. In the EU we will all have equal partnership and laws that will protect all of us.

You are aware of the 80% 20% balance Deniz, how will you prevent laws voted for by the majority if they are detremental to one portion of the population?

That question just sums it up. Funniest post of the day!

I have never voted for labour, but I still live by the law and whatever it has to offer me. Thats life.

why would the tcs need a TRNC flag in a re united island? and when i say re united i dont mean two states like turkey does everytime they say re united... we should come up with a new flag one for all cypriots not greek or turk flags to promote devision like the trnc flag not banned just not used for cyprus at all.

turkish is also an official language without banning turkish cypriot dialect like turkey is doing... isent that the same as what ur saying the gcs would do vp? but i guess not since they will only allow turkish so i guess thats something.

removing the headscarf?? only the turks are destroying everything tc and turkifying the north as much as they can.. here in the south we know what freedom is free country freedom of speach unlike the turks.

i thoguht tcs where not religious? even the christian churches int he north have turkish flags outside of them.. imagine us putting greek and cypriot flags infront of your mosques?

That's why we all abandoned our exchange with VP that evening because it became laughably futile!

So if the majority vote like Swiss not to allow minarets you are OK with this? today minarets tomorrow your right to practice your religion..be careful what you accept as it will guarantee your second class status, the GCs are totally different from the Brits.

These are just a few examples off the top of my head and you are struggling to respond if safeguards are not in place to allow us to say no then we will always be at the mercy of the GCs who can use their numerical advantage to our detrement.
