80% of the women I know that are obsessed with Twilight are above the age of 30 more than half those are above the age of 40. But then agian we Americans are aweful silly :lol:

fragnaticDeath, i am 27 and watch many movies a day, so i will say i am a sort of critic. My mother used to own a dvd club in africa and based on the movies i watched i would recommend movies to certain people based on their tastes. people do not have the same tastes an i personally love twilight and discuss it with my 10 year old sister. Although her interpretation and reasons for loving it are far different to mine. although fictional, the characters do have personality and i for one went through similar phase as bella when my boyfriend and i broke up. these are based on human characteristics of love hurt and life. in life many of us get married and move to another country, and many of us hardly visit our parents when we grow up and start to live our own lives. maybe the cypriot culture is very different as girls who are 30 and unmarried still live at home, and the same goes for guys, where as in my african upbringing after school/university you are groomed for your own life.

it is a romeo and juliet theme and although based on vampires it cam be taken and hypothetically be replaced by religion/race and still have the same effect.

Also I watched the movie before I read the Saga .. I liked to movie which convencied me to read the book. I fell in love with the books .. the movies can not touch the amount of emotion and the depth of the charaters discribed in the books.
