Why pay extorniate prices for some mediocre overated chav boy, who is priced stupidly because he is English...then pay ridiculously low fees for players like Vieira, Anelka, Toure, etc.

As long as they have an Arsenal badge on...I dont care. He gave Ashley Cole his career...and look how Cole repays us...by wanting to go to Chelsea. As for Henry, he is one of the top 5 players in the world...he can walk into any club...he knows he can get paid more at other clubs...but he is still our most faithful player.

I was refering 2 ur Academy. It costs nothing to have an Academy full of home grown talent yet at Arsenal it is full of players who have been snapped up from overseas.

I agree that the market in this country for English players is inflated.

As i have stated b4, Wenger is a very shread person when it comes to buying overseas players and turning them into world class players.

As for our academy...well last season we had Justin Hoyte come through, David Bentley and Ryan Smith...do they sound like exotic names to you.

As for having foreigners in our academy...well nobody complained when the great Ajaz academy was churning non dutch players like Kanu...or did anyone at PSV moan when they churned out players like Ronaldo?

My point is that none of the players mentioned are reguler first teamers. Wenger tends to import be they youth or established players. I think the last player that u had coming through the ranks was Cole. He seems to b the exception to the rule.
