This new failure of the RoC, which means that Turkey continues the accession process with no real cost, that the deadline achieved by Tpap has been wasted, that no new deadline has been set for Turkey to implement the protocol and that Cyprus found itself completely isolated, is the direct outcome of Christofias's failed policy..

This is the price Cyprus is paying because its president is living in illusions and thinks that if he keeps bending over everyone will "like him" and be "his friend"..

Perhaps now he will see the light and do us all a favour and either change the tune or go home.

is that not what i have been saying, little old cyprus has got sweet fcuk all. and is just starting to understand its position in the pecking order

way down low. low low :D :D :D

they huffed and they pufffed and didnt blow the house down, its just so so funny, to read all this bull shit about we will do this and we will do that, in reality you cant do anything, get over it, everyone loves Turkey, becuase very soon the EU will be beging Turkey to join the EU, then we will see

And what do you think this will mean for you as a Turkish Cypriot?

Forget, Talat and Christofias, perhaps tooony12 and Paul-4497 should start negotiations on our behalf – they already agree on so much.

And once the two resolve the piddling Cyprus problem, I nominate them both as Cyprus's co-ambassadors to the EU. It's clear the pair have a deep understanding of the nuances of European diplomacy, and how not to undermine Cyprus's best interests at critical moments.

Gentlemen, I salute you.

John Alexander comments:
A final chance has been given to Turkey to behave like a modern, civilised country or face the consequences of permanent estrangement from the EU. If Turkey really wants, it can develop closer ties with Iran, Syria and Pakistan – impoverished countries in the grip of extremism and terrorism, and with which in reality Turkey has probably got more in common than it has with Europe.

Just as I thought... not much! Just like Expat and the several carpetbaggers, you probably see it as a sporting event!

This is what you should be worrying about...

Turkey Is Considering Ban on Kurdish Party

The Turkish constitutional court in Ankara began hearing arguments on Tuesday in a case that could shut down the only pro-Kurdish party in Parliament and undermine the government’s efforts to end its long-running conflict with the country’s Kurdish minority.

Just like Paul, you've jumped on the premature bandwagon... if you were smart you'd wait for the official result to come first.
