Then you and I are in agreement, but you are probably in violent disagreement with the Turks and the Bananiots.. I look forward to hearing from them..

And there is me thinking that it was possible to have a meaningful discussion with Tony. Sorry Tony, you are no different from the rest of the barbarians.

You choice of reference to what a Barbarian is says a hell of a lot about you. Only the thickest buy the sun on account that they can't and don't need to read.

Bananiot

I refer to arguments and positions on issues. I respect your views but disagree with them. If you want to be fair, you should admit that your positions on key issues (such as the one to which the above comments refer to) coincide with those of the Turks - which are reflected by the Annan Plan.

Accordingly, I cannot see why the above makes me a barbarian. Stating that you share views with the Turks is not insult, just a statement of fact.

I have to admit to having a grudging respect for Bananiot. Not because I agree with his views, because I don't, but because he is willing to stand up for his beliefs in the face of huge criticism (which is acceptable) but also personal abuse (which is not).

Perhaps that's why he felt the need to use the unfortunate term 'barbarians' to describe those who don't agree with him.

What people like you do not realize is the Bananiots are the people that can get more out of a solution than you hard hrads will ever achieve, if the majority of GC thought like Bananiot I a TC and many more would accept a unitary state with proportional representation as we would trust minds like Bananiot to act on behalf and for the benefit of all "Cypriots". With you people the only way we feel secure is with a BBF and plenty of safeguards and guarantees, now do you understand where you lose the plot and will never convince TCs to unite.

What constitutes a “solution” is the crux of the lack of a solution.

Bananiot is a Turk. So if all Greek Cypriots became Turks then you would accept all that? No kidding!! Do you think that we should now abandon democracy, human rights and civilization so we can become Turks so you can fit with us? Thank, but no thanks. If you want to fit with us then you should become civilized. Don't expect from us to give up democracy and human rights to become barbaran Bananiot Turks!
