Pres X Condemns Provocations By Turkey

Postby bill cobbett » Thu Nov 26, 2009 7:21 pm

In a speech to the Cy Brotherhood in London, England our Beloved and Conciliatory Pres X condemned Turkey's continued provocations and intransigence in the CY affair. ..... (from CNA .....) .....

"The Greek Cypriot Brotherhood has always played a leading role in our efforts to protect the rights of the people of Cyprus and has found itself in the forefront of the struggles to achieve freedom and to safeguard its independence", the President of the Republic Demetris Christofias noted in his speech at the Cyprus Independence Dinner hosted yesterday by the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood in London. The Greek Cypriot Brotherhood, according to President Christofias, continued to play a significant role in the struggles of the Cypriot Community as well as in the efforts to reunify Cyprus. "Its contribution has been and will continue to be invaluable in our strive to achieve a comprehensive solution of the Cyprus problem on the basis of international law and the respect of human rights", he added. Referring to the forthcoming evaluation of Turkey's EU accession course at the European Council on 10 December, President Christofias noted: "We have shown patience and perseverance, expecting that Turkey would be forthcoming in implementing its obligations vis-à-vis the EU and, above all, in supporting the negotiating process in a practical and substantial way. Unfortunately Turkey has not done so. Under these conditions, everyone must understand that Turkey cannot continue its course towards the EU unhampered, while its stance remains provocative and intransigent". -26.11.2009

This doom and gloom has been predicted by the GCs for many many years, many Decembers will pass and nothing will happen to Turkey, you people still do not realize she is a regional power and is worth a thousand times more than some little crummy half an island somewhere east of Europe which no one gives a shit about.

No, I don't love Turkey at all. In fact I have boycotted Turkey from my travels for the best part of 30 years. Only ever land in Turkey to take off again for my convenience and always try to get on a plane where I don't have to come off it for the ongoing flight. You have totally missed the meaning of my posts regarding Turkey and the EU. It is you who is fast asleep as to who is who and who has what power regarding the EU and Turkey.
