It aint going to change the fact that negotiations will to all intents and purposes come to an end.

"As Eroglu sees it, the solution is establishment of two independent states. One can assume that this will be his goal right after the presidential elections, next April, in which he is expected to depose Talat. "Our citizens have lost all hope for an arrangement. Seventy percent of them are not interested in the present negotiations and 80 percent prefer to live separately," Eroglu says. "

And whose fault is that? TPap and his successful effort to have the Annan Plan defeated. If it had passed, then you wouldn't have had to worry about Dervis Eroglu, or a disillusioned Turkish Cypriot populace.

He'd probably be one of the Presidents of that meaningless executive council now calling for a referndum to split the turkish constituent state away from the federation. Having achieved virgin birth of the 2 states as per the Annan plan the turkish constituent state would have been of equal political status to the GC one and would have been able to split and earn equal recognition as the GC one.
