Greece to declare war on Turkey?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Greece to declare war on Turkey?

Postby Malapapa » Tue Nov 24, 2009 11:00 pm

Greece, a guarantor power of Cypriot sovereignty, keeps going on and on and on about wanting to help solve the Cyprus problem.

"It (Turkey) must contribute constructively to the resolution of the Cyprus issue... It must normalise its relations with the Republic of Cyprus and of course ... implement the Protocol on the Customs Union vis-a-vis the Republic of Cyprus ... We will judge Turkey based on the actions it has taken or not taken – rigorously and objectively. All the options are on the table and no one should take us for granted," is the latest statement from Greece's (Cypriot born) Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas. (Way-to-go Dimitraki, way-to-go!)

Well, we will judge Greece on the actions it will or will not take – rigorously and objectively.

O Greece, o cradle of western civilisation, how about we see all the options on the table?

Time to put your maternal hold on Cyprus to good use before it is consigned to the dustbin of history. Time to honour fully your commitments to Cyprus and stand up to fascism as you did in 1940. Time to give Turkey an ultimatum.

"If the Government of the Hellenic Republic has not received satisfactory assurances from Turkey, by 25 December 2009, of the withdrawal of its occupying forces from the north of Cyprus, a state of war should exist between Greece and Turkey."

I'm fine thanks, YFred. No need to worry. I'm simply taking the demands of two of the guarantors of Cyprus's territorial integrity to their logical conclusion.

Greece is no longer a de facto guarantor.

As for "maternal" help ... Greece has always preferred Cyprus as independent. Even the coupists wanted to impose a CIA-puppet (Sampson) and not dissolve the Republic.

As for giving us help ... well, Greece helped us get into the EU. :D

The rest is up to us ...

Are you sure about this O Oracle? Did Greece relinquish her treaty obligations? Did Cyprus agree?

I know. What a relief! God bless the Hellenic Republic for insisting on Cyprus's true independence.

Just the threat of Britain's nukes and Greece's ruthless fighting spirit behind us will do the trick.

I don't appreciate you trying to distance Greece from the 15th July attack on our people and country… it’s dumb even trying as its already locked in history!

Greece has been behind the drive to césure all three guarantees.

The Hellenic Republic has always insisted on independence for Cyprus. A few GCs had lost their way, and their nerve, faced against the ever constant threat of Turkey. But, in their own way, they were right to fear an invasion by Turkey.

You're jumping the gun. Britain has never offered to deploy her nukes for our sake and Greece hasn't advocated going to war against Turkey either. You're behaving like those over-eager GCs who wanted Enosis with Greece when Greece had not asked for Enosis with Cyprus ...

They also help us in the Eurovision song contest.

The coupists did not represent Greece as they were not elected by them ... just as Sampson did not represent the GCs!
