Hi,

Somewhere in the eighties I have visted Cyprus with a friend. During that stay we met Mr. Lazaros Omirou. In a few days he showed us some great places. He was very friendly and only in search of a friend and a good time. In the end of our trip he said: a few days ago I met some new friends and today I lose them. Never forgot that!

Now and then he still passes my mind. During my life untill now he was one of the few people of which I know he was a true and really good man. If there were more people like him, the world would be less cruel.

He was manager of a milk factory - If I recall correctly - and almost retired. I think he was about 65 years of age. Would be great if he is still alive but I dont think so.

I am looking for relatives of this kind man! Just to know more about him and carry him in my heart forever.

Some of the most altruistic acts of kindness I remember have been from Greek Cypriots.

When all is said and done by our enemies who wish to destroy us, we hopefully will never lose our humanity towards other occupants of this planet.

I hope you re-connect with Mr Omirou, Bert. But why don't you visit Cyprus again and mix with more people ... there are many kind and friendly GCs.

If it's the same Lazaros Omirou, i do know someone by that name but he is working for a lawyer firm at the moment so i dunno.
