The Alleged "Isolation" of Turkish Cypriots...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

For example here are some of the free benefits the TCs derive from the RoC (from GR!'s link):

The Republic of Cyprus has paid social insurance pensions of Euro 32.3 million to Turkish Cypriots for the years 2003-2004
24,420 Turkish Cypriots have been provided with free medical care at the public hospitals and medical centers of the Republic since April 2003 at the cost of Euros 6.9 million
Over 40,000 Turkish Cypriots are holders of Cyprus Republic passports
Over 79,000 Turkish Cypriots are holders of Cyprus Republic birth certificates
Over 67,000 Turkish Cypriots are holders of Cyprus Republic ID cards
The Government proposed, on 16 July 2004, the opening of eight additional crossing-points along the ceasefire line, demining of the existing minefields and disengagement of military forces from the walled part of Nicosia and other areas. One of the proposed eight crossing points, that of Astromeritis-Zodhia, has already opened. Demining of the minefields of the National Guard in the buffer zone has been completed, after a decision by the Government to proceed unilaterally

...and if I may add the EU bit, by way of hundreds of million of euros in development aid that taken together with all the above measures is making the self-serving members of the Illegal Regime more "isolated", more irrelevent to the daily lives and futures of the tissy community ....

From http://ec.europa.eu/enlargement/turkish ... dex_en.htm ......

"On 27 February 2006 the EU approved an aid regulation for the benefit of the Turkish Cypriot community aimed at putting an end to the isolation of this community and helping prepare for the reunification of the island 2 €259 million was voted in 2006 for this programme which is to be implemented by the Commission (DG Enlargement) over five years.

The main aims are:

1. social and economic development ;

2. infrastructure, in particular energy and transport, environment, telecommunications and water supply;

3. reconciliation, confidence building measures, and support to civil society;

4. bringing the Turkish Cypriot community closer to the Union, through information on the EU, and contacts between Turkish Cypriots and other EU citizens;

5. helping the Turkish Cypriot community to be ready to implement EU rules (acquis communautaire) in case of a comprehensive settlement .

Up to April 2009, contracts have been signed for about 30% of the € 259 million available. It is expected that contracts will be signed for the rest by the end of 2009. Most of the contracts will be completed by the end of 2011. "

BUT this has never been about ending the so-called "isolation" has it ?

It's always been about Recognition.

What ur idiotic national front(mainly) caused us to lose is million times more than of what u supposedly given to TCs...

Take it up with and send the bill for your lost years to Rough Donktosh and the other members of the increasingly marginalised and isolated Illegal Regime.

They've lined their pockets at your expense.

Led some of you in to the Promised Land built on Fascist Ethnic Cleansing.

The reality?

You've been led up the Garden Path!

Ok. While I'm talking with Rauf u keep celebrating and applauding ur heroes Grivas, Sampson, Makarios, Tassos etc etc for gifting u a stolen RoC and all the benefits u had in stolen RoC. U r just another Hellen blinded by the temporary victory u won.

Fascist ethnic cleansing eh? When i asked u what would u do under then the hostile circumstances while EOKA-B was still active and threatening with guerilla warfare; u told me u didn't knw. How it suits, eh? Ok, up to u but with this mentality u actually prove how fascistic mind u have by defending ur heroes who stole RoC and turned it into Hellenic Republic of Cyprus.

Why when there were 2 FAs even in 1960s, Turkish League was actually formed before Greek League.
Why cannot Turkish Cypriots participate? Have they not protested to wanting to play? Does that not seem like an EMBARGO?

Guys, you are drinking wacky backy again if you don't see there is an embargo.

Oracle is evil anyway - real TC hater - you are a scary freak, the less of you on this world the better for humanity.

It's not evil to hate wrongdoers. The Turks are the worst wrongdoers and are hated and reviled by all decent people.

You are so lucky she lost her steam a little lately. She stalked me relentlessly when I first joined. I was about to call the digital police and all that.

I am watching one of my cats sitting in front of one of its toys. I think she got bored of it. It no longer satisfies its feline desires. Damn cats; that toy costs money. :twisted:

First and foremost, Turkish Cypriots can't play football but even if they could they'd have to play under the SINGLE FIFA-recognized body that represents Cyprus and that is none other than the Cyprus Football Association (CFA)
