Common Positions of Greece and Israel on the Cyprus Issue
Israel and Greece oppose to the partition of Cyprus for a number of important reasons:
1. The possibility of the permanent division of the Cypriot capital will constitute a detrimental development for Jerusalem, as the current status in Nicosia is similarto the pre-1967 partition of Jerusalem. The Nicosia partition would constitute abad precedent for the Israeli claim over an undivided Jerusalem, which is one ofthe major issues to be tackled in any final Arab – Israeli peace agreement. Afederal solution would unite Nicosia and could strengthen Israel's case for asimilar preferred position on the status of Jerusalem.
2. Greece and Israel are opposed to the possibility of the establishment of a radical Islamic state in northern Cyprus. In the case of partition, radicalization of Islamic elements in the Turkish part of Cyprus as a result of economic or political unrest is a possible development that runs contrary to Israeli national security.
3. Partition is not deemed beneficial for either country in the region. The 1974 Indo-Pakistani partition is a good example. Though accepted by both sides, it was accompanied by an arms race that has ultimately turned into a nuclear rivalry. A similar, ongoing arms race in Cyprus would guarantee further instability in the wider region.

GR although u hate them; they actually(supposedly) support ur cause but r they really able to prevent the partition of Cyprus in case the current talks fail with disagreement?
I partly agree with them only on point #1, other 2 reasons r very far from to be realistic. They rather r Greece's excuses to take control whole of Cyprus.
