You see my point, you don't have to leave doing business just because you "generally don't like someone" it's supply and demand, and the wider your markets the better the chances of improving your standard of living.
Unfortunately TCs have only had Turkey to trade with for decades. What is the reason for the North maintaining its Turkishness, is it all Turkey? or, can we put it down to one set of people that have forced that situation with the never ending embargoes? DOn't worry it's not a trick question, I think the answer's obvious.
Not sure it's "unfortunate" that Turkey's subordinate regime has only had Turkey to deal with; thus maintaining its Turkishness. It's more a natural and entirely predictable consequence of the breaching of a plethora of international laws and treaties; which Cypriots in the free areas have naturally and entirely predictably taken advantage of.
How can the (what are laughingly referred to as) embargoes end, while these illegalities have not only continued but, over the years, been compounded by Turkey's actions in Cyprus?
