At the gleaming offices of the Limassol Water Board on Kennedy Avenue! I live in the metropolis of Limassol and not in a village, you see. I am sure that they will give me the address at the town hall, don't worry.

No problem any more, somebody here has given me directions to the local Mouhtaris. A million thanks.

Tim, for Mouhtaris you will need to type the document yourself, sign it in front of Mouhtaris, and then Mouhtaris will sign it and put his stamp to certify that what you wrote is true (that you live in that address). If you were looking for some specific form to fill then maybe it is something different that I don't know about. Maybe we don't have such thing in Cyprus. You can call 25829129 which is the Citizens Bureau and ask them before you go to Mouhtaris.

I believe that this is what I need. To be honest I can only try it and see if the authorities where I need it (in Turkey) will accept it for the required purpose (opening a bank account). Thanks.

I doubt the Turkish authorities will accept anything like that from Cyprus. They don't even recognize RoC! Only if you find some standard EU form you could have some chance of success.

No, I have been told that I have to supply a 'certificate of residence' (ikametgah belgesi) issued by the Republic of Cyprus authorities written in English or Turkish. I am sure that the procedure you have outlined is what is needed. Don't worry.
