What would you sacrifice for a solution?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Or, only if we lick ur arses with the words u like?

2009. When Turkish Cypriots officially ceased to exist.

Ohh... in ur dreams or what? Is 2009 the year we reduced tallking abt the things u like?

Now that's a very strange sensation indeed. There’s me thinking that I no longer exist but I must do to be able to post this. How do you explain this phenomenon old chap?

We don't care much abt nomanclatures... once ur "state" broadcater, ur national front and their backers were calling us bello Turcos, Turco Gibriyagi, Gibriyagi Turco, Mousalman etc... being called Turks of Cyprus does not hurt as much as being called bello Turcos, shillo Turcos etc... In any case Turco national front is preferable to Greco national front..

Officially, no. You don't exist. Of course, you don't have to go along with it.

I'm genuinely surprised that, since you have aspirations of being more than just a "bello Turcos", you can't appreciate the difficulties legitimate citizens of Cyprus, living in the north, are given by this new term.

I appreciate why, for you, "Turco national front" is apparently preferable to "Greco national front"... but the former is in full control in the north while the latter has been in steady decline in the south; especially now the free part of Cyprus enjoys all the rights, as well as responsibilities, of EU membership.

Hmm, the latter has been in steady decline, eh? They r still the dominant political power in South... The most significant sign of this is that they didn't let Chris to revise the history text books of GCs that once were written by them...

In early 2010 they will become more visible to ur eyes and their voices will be heard much better by ur ears... After the next political turbulent in South, after the blame game; u will see right wing in power... Anastasiades backed by ur National Front will show us his real face during partition negotiations...

But they let a communist come to power? How did that happen? insan, are we going to have a debate, or are you just going to post nonsense?

Chasm and hatred

In order to keep the bridges to DIKO up, Christofias will have to reconcile himself with the Papadopouloses. This is considered to be impossible:

An impenetrable psychological barrier has arisen between the two. The Papadopoulos family considers that Tassos Papadopoulos' death was directly related to his disappointment at being “betrayed” by AKEL.

They also consider Christofias “an ingrate” because although they forced Garoyian to reverse his decision to support Kassoulides in the second round of the presidential elections, Christofias later allied himself with Garoyian in an attempt to constrain the “Tassists” within DIKO.

Communist? Or still a swinging-from-here-to-there labour party?

Pello Turco is a term I first saw used by TCs on this forum.

There is also the term "vermin" used by TCs for GCs, which is officially recorded by UN personnel. I first came across that term reading UN reports.

As for the sacrifice issue, why sacrifice anything for a solution? Who came up with that notion?
