set an example and start cleaning it yourself... they do all these charity walks in UK time to time... get all your friends and do a garbage walk next time, picking up all the garbage.

I think you will find that Tim has already done a few of these organised 'clean-ups' around the town. Personally, whenever I take the dog for a walk around my area, I take an extra carrier and collect the discarded cans and plastic bottles and place them in the recycling bins!
