YOUR A SLAVE AND NOTHING MORE

They’ve taught you how to save your sorry arse and hopefully that of others at time of war or conflict, but with your immature attitude I wouldn’t count on it!

And what's with all the "you go and see your mummy" talk? Who doesn't want to go see their relatives, let alone their mother and father as much as possible? It's stupid how todays society has cultivated this sort of chasm between women and their sons because if you do like spending time with your mother then you're a mommys-boy. To effin hell with that, of course i went to see my mum whenever i could because she'd cook stuff for me that i haven't eaten in days in the army, since the shit food we had there was...shit. As for the graffiti thing, it's shit, and a stupid way to vent your emotions. I'd love to see all that in the battlefield when the Turks decide they want the other half as well...

Nothing wrong with going home to see mummy. But come on, you are rarely away from home for more than two weeks. Saying that you are doing something you have to do and not out of choice, which has to be admired.

Yes Frag is was my choice. I started a little later than most but I had a thing about jumping out of planes which started very young. Still enjoy jumping out of planes but not in uniform.

for more than two weeks? I havent been outside of the army in summer for 4 weeks!

Dude just because you see other Cypriots who go out of the army everyday or 3 times a week does not mean everyone is like that!

As i said the army needs serious balancing issues. Nothing is fair in it.

I would rather go study abroad straight after I finish school while my knowledge is still fresh in most subjects. But yeah the lovely army helps you with that spending hours and hours on duty wasting your time and forgetting everything.

And exactly my point it was your choice. Mine wasn't. I wasn't interested in it. I would spend 9 hours doing hard work on TANKS. My hands have not been clean from oil for 1 1/2 year they were black 24/7. and by almost the end of the army i had to do a surgery cause i was working too much.

Why work too much? Well i didnt want to sit my ass off and waste my time I rather work and learn new stuff and keep my brain working isntead of letting it shut down.

And when you finish is it actually worth doing it? for me NO!

'Is it worth doing ' only time will tell. Let's hope you never have to put what you have learnt into practice should your neighbors go walk about !

Most teenagers now day don't even know how to hold a rifle properly. The army nowdays is a hotel... I actually know hotels that are way worse than KEN Paphos where the new recruits go in...

And here is where your mistaken once again! I bet 30000euro right now cause you have no clue how the army base of KEN paphou is. And how is it in anyway a hotel? Is there aircondition? NO! Is there proper beds? NO its those old ones that have always been used in the army and never been changed. Is the food good? NO again the food is kinda dangerous to eat cause the kitchen is so dam dirty, i have seen a few cockroaches walking by in lines. Is the trainning of soldiers proper? NO Who idiot would take a person to do training at 40-42 celcius? The freaking radiation from the SUN can penetrate right through your skull. I bet you heard what ILIASIS is?

The base where I was in tanks it was even more fucked up. We didnt have a chef it was actually a soldier who didnt give a fuck about how to cook the food. I spent 2 winters with no heater were temperatures would reach 0 celcius and it was windy cause there was a river next to the base. YOU WOULD FREEZE YOUR ASS OFF on duty at nights. I even spend 2 months in those winter periods cause the kernel banned the usage of sleeping bags and were only allowed to use those shitty dirty blankets of the army. The blankets are so dirty that you can actually get Psoriasis from it. Clean it? What the hell until next week it gets back to its original situation

Dude i can seriously find a million fucking reasons why the army should be shut down for the way they treat you. UNHUMAN.

Now someone will pop in and say. Well in my days we had worse conditions. Well dude you were raised up through your childhood to withstand such conditions. If you took a person from 200B.C and made him do the army at your time it would be easy as eating a pie.

People have to understand it does depend how you were raised and in what conditions. The sudden changes of your enviroment lead you to nervous breakdowns.

I had a soldier in my year that committed suicide.

Now we come to this question again "IS IT WORTH risking your health just to pleasure some fucktards officers who treat you like crap?"

Bare in mind that is no soldiers choice to join the army. And not everyone has the pleasure to be in a good base with heaters and airconditions and play ps2 or xbox360 whenever we want. Not everyone has that choice. I SURE WASN'T

I am up for discussion
