That series of photos were posted last year.

I prefer the old Metaxas Square, but who is asking me? I am too conservative.

The new photos are scanned from postcards of the early sixties .
They came from various sources such as J.Arthur Dixon of UK ( distributed by D.A.Gavrielides of Limassol) and others.


The above photo which is included in the collection is from Famagusta .It shows both the old and new Ayios Ioannis churches in the neighborhood of the same name.The photo should be around the mid sixties and was taken from the east .The small church in which my parents got married in was demolished a little before the invasion if i am not mistaken .Our house is about 100 and just behind the trees on the west.
