All well and dandy. No one said people couldn't get along (in a democratic set-up), did they? Since you are into matters cranial; why don't you solve me this little conundrum:

Try telling those teenagers that the TCs are going to have FIVE TIMES more privileges than the GCs.

What is your predicted outcome?

You see, little naive Malapapa, it's not about individuals being treated equally! When it comes to the Cyprus problem; it's about the anachronistic reasons for giving one group undeserved privileges.

So, how are you going to square that in the real world of the CyProb?

My predicted outcome, given their high IQ, little nasty Oracle, is they'd say, as they said at the end of the film, "we are all human beings, we are all Cypriots." Which is why your soulmate Viewpoint is so worried they've been brainwashed.

What's your predicted outcome when your little naive nephew tells them only Greeks can be Cypriots and that there should be enosis?

How are you going to square that in the real world of the CyProb?

I'll tell you what, since those TC kids have a 400% better chance of achieveing the highest office of this country just because of their ethnic background, it will be a problem they'll probably need to handle since the GC kids won't have much say in it.

I'll tell you what, if the kids are all as intelligent as I think they are, they'd no doubt say that the idea was unfair and unworkeable. They'd no doubt say that, since they are all human beings/all Cypriots, they should all have an equal chance of achieving the highest office of the country, based on merit, not percentages and ethnic background. Like how things now seem to be working in "america.gov". Although it took a bit of time.

Which is why Oracle's soulmate Viewpoint is so worried they've all been brainwashed.

Listen Einstein ... you have NOT answered my question!

If you don't know, then say so (as even Socrates would) .... but don't go round the bushes trying to insult me with comparisons to VP and accusing me of things I have not even alluded to.

This is your last chance.

If the GC kids are as "intelligent" as the TC kids ... why should they not have the same rights as the TCs?

How will you tell those "intelligent" kids that one lot of them by virtue of their ethnicity will have MORE RIGHTS?

Please respect yourself and admit if you have no answer, without resorting to diversions and meaningless insults which only highlight your shortcomings.

You are the one avoiding to answer a very intelligent question, and yet you think she is the one that is "batty"....

Malaka-ka, you have totally lost the plot.

I put it to you, that once these young idealistic teenagers grow up and are precluded from being appointed to high office because the position must be given to a TC, or their vote is watered down and hence they don't have an equal political voice, then things will indeed change for the worse.

If you think these young TCs will rectify this inbalance by surrendering their privileges after they are granted to them, then you are being very unrealistic and naive. It is very easy to state we are all Cypriots in front of the cameras, but when it comes to political rights that give one group more rights than the other, then all of a sudden they will tell you that this is the way things should be because they, as Turks of Cyprus, are a minority and require these rights to address the numerical inbalance and which will mean they will all virtually walk into high office, whereas the GCs will be left with the scraps, and their voice will be mute in comparison...

I believe there are some forumers here (one called Bananiot) that would call you a fascist extremist with ideas like these. The BBF discussed now and the points already agreed by the President of the Republic with rotating Presidency have nothing to do with what you posted above.

If equality and one people are what these young Cypriots are learning then unfortunatey there will be no room for them under the BBF being discussed now.

How outrageous that I should be tarred with the same brush as Oracle's nephew, when our views are so dissimilar.

Then - if they are over 18 and entitled to vote - they would have to vote against such a BBF, as would be their democratic right. What do you want from me?
