i have a 26 y old mazda and its still running and in good condition, should i sell it now or wait until next year and scrap it? The car is worth about 500 euro and i heard that i can get about 650 for it from cy gov? maybe somebody is more informed then me just let me know.

I don't know where you got the 500 from but you'll be lucky to get €35 as scrap metal!

Think your car just missed the boat so to speak bizkitt.

Applications for this year are over and although the Greens have protested the government says its cancelling the scheme and not going to offer cash any more.

We just got the cheque for ours. Thought for a while we were going to get told 'run out of money'.

But you might be lucky. Never know, the Greens might talk them into opening it up again.

Keep the Mazda for another 4 years then you can register it as a Classic Car and sell it as one. Get much more money than you would have for scrapping it.
