PLans to move to cyprus next yr but need advice?

finding a job isnt easy, speaking greek isnt a must tho! dont let people get you or complecate stuff for you!! you can find a rwception job at hotels , offices or private companies!!! i dont speak greek and i have no problem finding job when i need to! and you aint eastren european c`mon you wont be takin 120-500 euro per month you might need more than that for rent lol but im sure like %100 that the least money you can get out of any job is 800-850 euros ! there is load of english bussiness over here, load of greek bussinesses that need english speakers.
it isnt easy here by the way every thing is expinssive, but if your hubby can find a job im sure you can make it here..

I would have said around 800 Euro, not 500.

You can't, that is why people should be more realistic with their expectations.

But that's the lowest you've quoted there. ie: Unskilled office cleaners etc.

not really. i know people working at registers in BIG companies getting those figures

Here’s the legislation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance regarding the lowest wage/salaries permissible, which apparently doesn’t seem to open! :lol:

“Το περί Κατωτάτων Μισθών (Πωλητές. Γραφείς. Νοσηλευτικοί Βοηθοί. Βοηθοί Παιδοκόμοι. Βοηθοί Βρεφοκόμοι ή Σχολικοί Βοηθοί) Διάταγμα του 2004 Κ.Δ.Π.558/2004 (Τμήμα Εργασιακών Σχέσεων)”

So, how much is the unemployment money over there? Is it better than here?

If you have been paying into the system for long enough you get 75% of your last salary for 6 months.
