No My friend...since Talat is in a crying mode i thought i'll get the violin out to company him..
Joke aside...game over for Talat...Dark forces have pulled his rope with this one.
Turkey's Radikal newspaper has been pushing this story very hard. You don't think that they could be trying to promote a new approach towards Cyprus in Turkey?
Nope...
Talat has been crucified in today's Turkish Cypriot press, that is for sure.
That's nothing compared to what they will do to him next election time.
Iceman. may I presume that you support UBP or TKP or are you one of those apolitical right wingers, cause you seem to take pleasure in the fate of our Muhtar. At least he can retire and say I did try. Where’s the previous leaders on both sides did not even try.
Fred.
I am neither UBP or TKP supporter. All my life i voted for CTP thinking they will make a difference if ever they came to power but they have disappointed me.
I promised not to ever vote again..Besides there are so many settler votes in north Cyprus now that even if all the proper TC's decided to go vote for one party they will still loose to Ankara's choice.
I know Talat personally...I used to believe in him big time, but since he got elected and made a few trips to Ankara he has become a different man..he is no longer the man i know..
If you think he is trying to make a peace with anyone you are more naive than i thought.
Iceman, who is being neive, of course Talat could only negotiate within certain parameters. How can Talat ignore Turkey? If there is an elephant in your front garden, you just can't push it out of the way. When it comes to settlers, they are not a united front, and Ankara certainly can't control them. Ankara controls the MPs that are elected because she can, she pays the wages. If Muhtar X had any sense, he would release the suffocation and take the mantle of supporting the TCs financially till they can support themselves, and then we'll see if Talat can stand up to the Turks. How could Turkey refuse such a suggestion and not lose total credibility. The real disappointment has been Muhtar X. It turns out a shepherd from Lurucina could have done a better job.
It takes brains not brawn to defeat a bully especially when one is as weak as Cyprus militarily.
Reh Freddie,
How many thousands of tissies cross for work now? How many for free and priority health care, how many for Proper Passports so they can travel the EU freely.
You've been reminded time and time again about this. Pres X loves his tissy comrades and is helping them out financially and in other very real ways.
Now stop being a CY Pachiderm.
Put your thinking head on and consider who would pay for the Civil Service once Talat turns his back on Turkey. Pachiderm my back end dear boy, stop being a sloth. 35 years of suffocation and you expect the TCs to take care of themselves, pull the other one, you've got the middle one.
You are pretending that the roc does not benefit from employing TC on half the wages and no insurance. You wish to have a partnersip, discuss that, if you don't you can take the south and .....
Do you realise that thanks to the roc suffocation, if Cyprus was united as you wish tomorrow, very few TCs would be eligible for tax and most would be on benefit due to their low wages. Get to the real world my friend, come down from that cloud you are on.
PS stop flirting with the TCs, aunty does not approve.
Rah Freddoulla, ask yourself a few questions ... how many tissy civil servants went on strike just last week to protest Turkey yet again freezing their wages? Not very happy bunnies were they? Then ask yourself how much cash is in RoC accounts the world over?
Now try and put one and one together and try and get the right answer.
Pres X has helped your lot out and there would be a lot more help if, for once, you send the right signs (that's not an invitation for profaner sort of signs).
