well unless you are not planning to retire, its just the same, you still have to work and pay bills.
its not all about sun, sea and sand.
moving to another country should be though over carefully.
i couldnt think of a worser thing to say...it piddled it down all weekend, "lets move to cyprus it raining"!!
it rains bloody hard in cyprus and in between december and feb its damn cold!
there are so many places to see in the world, why cyprus anyway?
Indeed why Cyprus, coming from baby who has 4 villas here, 3 boats, 6 businesses, is highly charged motivate, strong indepenant woman.
No, better go to pakistan, may be cheaper there.
Anyway all that aside, Cy prus is not for everyone, you get out what you put in. There are a number of things you have to learn to accept. If you just keep comparing it to the UK you'll go nuts and won't be happy.
You have already got a big head start, you speak greek, you have accommodation and transport and no kids, so any move will be much, much easier.
try it for a year, if you can hack it, stay, if not, you can go back. Don't burn your bridges just yet, but you must have cash to see you through without financial stress in that first year. If you are not in Cyp, you cannot intergrate and you will always wonder. To really find out if it is for you, you need to bite the bullet and take that first leap. Trust your heart.
Peoples perceptions and expectations are all different about living in Cyp, only you can know if it is for you or not.
Job wise, depends on what you do, but there is work out there if you care to look and have the necessary skilss, again only you can know this.
Whatever you decide, good luck to you and I hope it all works out for you.
Oh, and yes it is a great place to raise a family, but not cheap!
Cheers
