quality time...

you know, i can never get my head round some mums who do nothing but moan when the children are off school for the half term break :?
I love it, we get to have a little lay in as we dont have to set the alarm and we get to do fun stuff.
for me its time off work and a time to get stuck.
this week i we have had a fantastic time with son and daughter...
flying the rc helicopter in the field, making cakes, sewing buntings (as daughter is so into them)! making christmas decorations and last night preparing two rather large pumpkins for the lounge which we all loved doing.
And the things my son comes out with is hillarious, like this morning, they were both invited to go swimming and my 7 year old son says "mama i cant swim anymore" i said "why not" hes said "coz ive lost so much weight"...he so hasnt lost any weight!! maybe he got it the wrong way round as hes put weight on eating home made cakes!!
Why would any mum not want to be creative and do lovely things with their children in the holidays, i mean its better than housework.
will miss them when they back in school tomorrow
fantastic week mind, next ones christamas...cant wait.
anyone got stories or memories of school holidays with their children?
